Connect ClaroMap to ChatGPT or Claude
Last updated: October 14, 2026
ClaroMap can work with the AI assistant you already use. Once you connect it, the assistant can create topics, read your topics and notes, add notes, connect two notes, search, and edit a note when you ask it to. It only reaches the ClaroMap account you sign in with.
Connect it
You need a ClaroMap account first. Use the same account in the assistant that holds your topics.
- ChatGPT: open the apps or connectors settings, add a new app, and enter the server address
https://claromap.com/mcp. Sign in to ClaroMap when asked, then approve access. - Claude: open the connectors settings, add a custom connector, and enter the server address
https://claromap.com/mcp. Sign in to ClaroMap when asked, then approve access.
What the assistant can do
- Create a topic with a first set of notes and how they connect, when you ask for one.
- List your topics, most recently updated first.
- Open a topic, with its notes, their connections and their contents.
- Add notes to an existing topic. It only adds; it never edits or removes existing notes.
- Connect two notes in the same topic as parent and child. It won't create loops or a second parent for a note.
- Search your topics and notes, and fetch a topic or note from the results.
- Update a note. This replaces the note's title or content and cannot be undone with these tools. The assistant asks you to confirm when the request is unclear.
The assistant cannot delete topics or notes, change your plan or billing, or see any other account.
Disconnect it
Remove ClaroMap from the assistant's connectors or apps settings. The assistant then can't reach your account. To also end the approval from ClaroMap's side, email [email protected] from your account address and we will do it for you.
Good to know
- Changes the assistant makes appear in ClaroMap straight away, including while the app is open.
- If you are unsure about a change, ask the assistant to show you what it will do first.
